The DuPage County Republican Party released the following statement after the 2013 Consolidated Election:
“Congratulations to all who participated in Tuesday’s Consolidated Election,” said Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, Chairman of the DuPage County Republican Party. “All across our County, voters overwhelmingly elected the candidates we endorsed for township, municipal, and school board offices.”
On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, Republicans retained control of 71 out of 72 township offices. The Party swept eight out of nine townships, and usually by well over 25 percentage points. While school board and municipal offices are officially nonpartisan, DuPage Republicans were successful in these races too.
“Voters in DuPage elected local fiscal conservatives who are dedicated to the students, residents, and taxpayers,” said Chairman Ruscitti. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the victories of our Republican candidates.”
The DuPage Republican Party and our township party organizations endorsed and campaigned for these winning campaigns. “We would not have won so many local races without the dedication and tireless efforts of hundreds of volunteers and precinct committeemen,” said Chairman Ruscitti.
“These results prove that our grassroots organization is extensive, resourceful, and strong. That’s why I’m excited for our next big challenge: the 2014 campaigns for Congress and statewide constitutional offices. DuPage Republicans will work to win more seats in Springfield so we can finally address our state’s dire financial and economic problems.”
The DuPage County Republican Party is comprised of over 600 precinct committeemen, thousands of volunteers, and hundreds of thousands of voters. Dr. Ruscitti has served as Chairman of the DuPage County Republican Party since 2012.

As our country commemorates the 11th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, the DuPage County Republican Party would like to pay tribute to the victims, their friends and families who still mourn their loss, and all those who rushed to aid their fellow Americans. As dark as that day is in the history of our nation, let us remember the feelings of patriotism and unity that followed the event. May we use the anniversary of those tragic events as a catalyst to promote national unity and civic pride,...
We all knew that the Chicago Democrat Machine was capable of being the most ruthless and negative campaign operation in the country. President Obama and his political advisors were all trained in Chicago, but remarks made Tuesday by Cook County Board President Democrat Toni Preckwinkle reached a new low. Preckwinkle, who used to be Obama’s Alderman in the Chicago City Council, remarked at a conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that President Ronald Reagan deserves “a...
Washington, D.C. - Today U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) released the following statement on the Supreme Court of the United States' ruling on the health care law: "While I respect the Court’s decision, the health care law threatens our economic recovery by raising taxes, imposing new regulations and creating a drag on the economy," said Senator Kirk. "Congress should repeal the health care law and replace it with common sense, centrist reforms that give Americans the right to buy insurance across...
